How to make your Day Better?

There are many ways how a day can go bad.

Your lousy job, your temperamental boss, your daughter’s crappy relationship with her douche-bag boyfriend, your cellphone falling into the toilet bowl, your milk gone sour, your car broken up in the middle of a freeway, your parents divorcing, you and your husband divorcing, your company gone bankrupt, your speeding cost you a ticket, your roof falls off… the list goes on! And it’s but natural to be so messed up after feeling as if the world suddenly lost its bearing in the Universe and chose you to be its tripod.

Though it may seem like your way through Life has led you to a dead end, it’s not a case that will last forever. There will always be a definite downside to what we deal with every day, but most certainly, there will always be a time we rise up from our drastic situations.

It’s not impossible as you may think. Looking into the brighter side of things… it’s not a work of fiction. It’s a fact! And surprising as it may sound to your presently cynical and pessimistic mind, it is realistically possible and probable to find more ways on how to make your day better!

How you may ask? It does not take a science fiction novel to illustrate it nor a brilliantly conceived formula to deduce the answer. For a day to get better, sometimes, all it needs is in the simplest of details…

Your hubby giving you a ‘Good Morning’ smooch;

An adorable baby giggling and squealing;

A hug of forgiveness from your estranged sister;

A pat on the back from your timid father;

A two-thumbs up from your giddy mother;

An “I Love You” written on a Post It note;

A warm comforting mug of Coffee;

Or even, as simple, as a smile of thank you from a stranger you helped.

Small acts… BIG meaning! And it is in these small gestures of sincerest emotions… of Love and Generosity… or even the slightest hint of the humorously odd and absurd…. These become the elements that create an infectious impact within us. An impact so strong that our dim and grim view of the world billows away and we are left helpless against the uncontrollable emergence of a smile on our face!

From there we soon realize how easy it is to forget the harsh and cruel facet of life… when we learn to open our eyes to the best things it has to offer. We also learn how much we need the best things in life… how much we deserve it … how much we depend on it to survive. Because we can only be truly alive when we feel the urge to continue on with each passing day… because we hope to see what tomorrow brings and we are excited to feel yet again the joys, the fun, and the simple bliss we achieve from Life’s little perks and quirks.
